The 2018 Nor'easter Classic will take place at either the Lawrencetown Beach Point, or Backyards in Cow Bay. The holding period will be March 24, 25, 31, April 1, 7, or 8 depending on conditions. Registration is $20 per person. All divisions are short board. Caper Radio will be hosting a Battle of the Bands, May 6th 2017. Doors open at 4 PM. Bands include: 4:40-5:10: Quik Fhix (rock)5:20-5:50: Riley Hill (singer-songwriter/indie-folk)6:00-6:30: River Riot (rock)6:40-7:10: Oaklands (acoustic/singer-songwriter) 7:20-7:50: 10-Slip (blues rock) 8:00-8:30: Cap Gun (punk)8:40-9:10: Mercy for the Lost (alternative rock) 9:20-9:50: The Cryptids (acoustic/singer-songwriter) 10:00-10:30: Closing act will be perfomed by RICOCHET (punk rock) 1st Place winner will win a day recording at Smashbox Recording Studio and will get the opportunity to perform live on Caper Radio. 2nd Place and 3rd Place winners will get the opportunity to win prizes from Long & McQuade - Sydney, Ollie Around, The Cape Breton Fudge Co., and more! Also to finish...

THE WHITE OUT returns this March with an all new challenge to snowboarders. Over $2K in cash and prizes will be on the line as boarders go one on one in a race down the mountain.Registration is at 1pm at a cost of $30 per entrant ($10 if you have a Ski Ben Eoin season pass). 2pm the races begin.Musical performances from the Makin' Waves Music Festival Stage will include Fire Valley Fire, Jofo, and Quake Matthews.
